SNAP Update 10/30/2025:
-- Applications are still being processed. Anyone who wishes to apply or recertify SNAP should do so right away so that resources are available as soon as possible when benefits resume.
-- Please keep your EBT card so you can use it when benefits resume.
.
SNAP Update 10/27/2025: Effective November 1, 2025, due to the federal government shutdown, SNAP beneficiaries will not be issued their November food benefits until federal funding is restored.
November and future monthly benefits will start again once federal funding is restored.
What You Need to Know:
-- No November 2025 Benefits at this time: Households will not receive their regular SNAP benefits for November 2025 until funding is restored.
-- Prior Benefits Unaffected: You may continue to redeem any benefits issued to your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card prior to November 1, 2025, at any SNAP-authorized retailer. This suspension does not impact previously issued benefits.
-- Combined Allotments: If you received a combined October and November allotment, you will only receive the prorated October portion. Retroactive benefits will be issued once the suspension is lifted.
.
Anyone who is in need of food assistance can contact their local DFS office, local community agencies, food banks, or call 2-1-1.
LIEAP Update (last updated 10/20/2025): Wyoming LIEAP has been impacted by the federal shutdown, specifically regarding application processing and payment disbursements.
.
What this means
-- Approved Benefits: If your application has been approved, your payments will continue to be processed and sent to utility vendors.
-- New Applications: We strongly urge you to continue submitting your LIEAP application during this time and to comply with any requests for information. We will resume approving applications once Congress passes a budget, the federal government reopens, and the Department of Family Services receives the official LIEAP grant money.
